Our pair today live in a fantasy type world, where they are quite the spirited pets.
Dogs & Cats Living Together: Abigail & Charmaine
Abigail and Charmaine are the pets of a powerful sorceress who lives in a castle deep in a very dense forest. Abby is a very pale grey Afghan Hound and Charm is a vivid orange Persian cat. Both also serve as the physical bodies for their respective elemental spirits. In Abby’s case, that would be a spirit of Air. When necessary, Abby can run at speeds up to 100 miles per hour and even fly short distances. She is totally immune to any magic that affects air directly and many that affect it indirectly. Charm’s spirit is a Fire spirit, which why she is totally immune to fire in any form and can generate a body temperature of up to 600 degrees Fahrenheit. She can run almost as fast as Abby. Both of them can also enter the Realm of Elementals any time they like.
Their mistress treats both of them very kindly and calls them her children. They love her and will do anything for her. When needed, such as the time the Goblins got a bit uppity, the two of them are sent out to take care of matters. Neither of them enjoy killing, so they have mastered the art of scaring the hell out of most sentient beings. Actually, they can send a good scare through most non sentients, too. In the case of the Goblin’s, they disrupted the lives of the 15 High Bosses so badly that they drove most of them temporarily mad with fear. Fear being a weakness in Goblin eyes, it was soon time to get new bosses. Such new boss getting is done with trial by combat, which in this case took two years and decimated the male Goblin population…at which point the females took over and the whole Goblin Nation became much more peaceful.
