What’s In That Chest?: The Treasure Of Yalosarn
.
This chest can be found in the south tower of the mostly ruined Castle Yalosarn. It is not a very large chest, measuring about two feet on a side. It is made of oak and bound in cold iron. The lock is extremely difficult to pick and has a poisoned needle trap. For it’s size, the chest is quite heavy.
Upon opening the chest, the people looking at it have about 5 seconds to take in a quivering, stinking mass. After about 5 seconds, the goo will burst out, revealing itself to be a roughly humanoid shape the size of a large man. Those who have knowledge of the demonic will recognize this creature as a Filth Demon. Such creatures are insane and filled with the desire to drown mortals in their filth.
Filth Demons are very strong and very tough, but can be stopped and injured by both freezing and fire.

What’s In That Chest?: The Green Footlocker
.
This standard size military footlocker is found in the basement of a speakeasy owned and operated by Jonas “Frenchy” Long, a formerly powerful mobster, but now spread across 57th Street after his car exploded with him in it.
The lock on the chest is easily picked. Inside are several notebooks belonging to Professor Augusta Melton, a chemist and one of seven recently missing scientists. You will also find several bottles labeled “Etherium” and “Disruption Acid”. The former, if applied to a human using a mister, will render them ethereal for about an hour. The latter will start almost anything dissolving, then cause it to explode.
The only other thing in the chest is a picture of the missing scientists standing together in front of a sign saying “World of The Future team, 1927.”
