Doc Update #4,000,000

On Saturday, Grace and Roscoe and I went to the Whole Earth Festival in Davis. We always enjoy walking around and looking at the various arts and crafts and tie dyed clothing that folks have for sale, as well as checking out the alternative energy exhibits and listening to the many kinds of music being played live on the stages. This was the first time we had taken Roscoe and the poor old fella hardly knew what to sniff first. By the time we left around noon, he had walked more than he usually does in a week. He was a snoozin’ hound for the rest of the day.

After returning home, I got in a bit of gardening before the rain hit. Deprived of my horticultural fix, I came inside and pretty much just vegged.

Sunday saw even more rain so, after a trip to buy some tea, (Assam, Ceylon and Darjeeling) I finished clearing space in the Library/Game Repository so I could begin the Paid Writing Job. Unfortunately, by the time I moved 500,000 boxes of books/games/other shit, I was too pooped to write.

I made a Docburger Mothers Day dinner for My Sweet Little Flowering Quince Of Passion. She was suitably impressed.

Today, after work and dinner, I plunged back into the pro writing thing after a fairly long hiatus. Knocked out only 600 words, but hell, that’s more than one fortieth of the whole job. I figure I’ll ramp up my writing speed over the next couple of days and kick the whole thing out by mid June.

I cooked a big pot of diced beef heart, pasta and brown gravy for Roscoe. He loved it, which is good because he’ll be eating it for the rest of the week.

It rained like a motherfucker today. And hailed! Thunderstorms everywhere! Gotta love this whacked out Spring weather.
