The Rare And Beautiful Red Crested Pygmy Yak Of Potawango Island

…they like to sit in the trees and croon to one another

Sunday Game Day

We played Session 2 of the Wierd Shit series. This time out, our intrepid government agents were sent to Aberdeen, Washington, to investigate reports that the town was overrun be “little people”. By “little people”, I mean fairies, pixies, pookas, leprechauns, kobolds and a host of other “wee folk”.

This was a lighthearted session, with the agents dutifully questioning townsfolk (who did not mind the wee folk doing helpful stuff, but found their practical jokes a bit tiresome), questioning wee folk (who were actually pretty straightforward about the fact that they had no idea how they got transported to our dimension) and getting messed with by the wee folks tricks, such as…

The CIA agent found herself at a Faerie Fair, where she had to sing, dance, eat fairie foods and juggle hedgehogs.

The FBI agent got hit by a spell that transformed her into random animals.

The NSA agent got a pink bunny costume magically glued to him, which required a total immersion into beer (“and no usin’ that cheap beer, laddie! Use the good stuff!”) to remove it.

The cryptoscientist from the Smithsonian got stuck in a huge tree that did not allow him to get any closer to the ground no matter how long he climbed downward.

In the end, the good citizens of Aberdeen decided that they could put up with the practical jokes, the wee folk agreed they would never intentionally hurt anyone and the agents went home to DC to find out that their various wee folk induced adventures (three of which ended up with agents nude in public) had been posted to YouTube and were getting thousand of hits per minute.

A fun game. Next session, things will get a whole lot scarier.

I’m sorry Doc… Aberdeen is in Maryland. Northern Baltimore county if I remember correctly. Not that it makes a difference in the gaming session, but give us poor Marylanders our due. We get so little. Loved the YouTube though; that was a nice touch!

There is an Aberdeen , Washington, too. I’ve been there. It’s right on the coast, at Gray’s Harbor.
