1: On Saturday, we had a meeting with a couple who have a 6 year old female Basset Hound that they are trying to find a home for. The dog, Lucy, has spent the bulk of her life in a home with people who neglected her most of the time. She would spend hours on end locked in her crate. When I hear about people like that, I want to…well, let’s not get into that.
Anyway, the folks (who had rescued her from the neglectful assholes about 6 months ago) brought Lucy to a park so she could meet us and Winker. She was pretty shy towards Winker (who is herself a very submissive and non-threatening dog), but warmed up to Grace and even more so to me, probably because I got down on the ground to pet her and talk to her.
We agreed that we would pick Lucy up next Saturday for a weekend visit at our house. If all goes well, I expect that Lucy will just stay with us for the duration and Winker will have a new sister.
2: HEY! You Dungeon Delvers better get some comments coming my way on that entry from the 15th or else!
3: The veggie garden is growing nicely and the rest of the garden is Flower City.
4: Hey, here’s a meme I just thought up…
The Ring Tone Meme
Ok, so you’ve assigned individual ringtones to each of your friends/relatives. Who gets what and why?
My answers (if I did such a thing) would be…
My Wife: The X Files theme, cos I always say “Hey, Scully, it’s me” when I call her.
My Best Pal, avylou: The theme from The Avengers, cos she was a fan of the show and Emma Peel
My Buddy, smalley_smoot: The theme from The Man From U.N.C.L.E., a show that he is a big fan of.
My Brother, Kelly: “Working Man”, by Merle Haggard, cos he’s always working.
My Good Friends, Spike & Mary: “Incense & Peppermints” by the Strawberry Alarm Clock, cos they are about as hippie looking a couple as I know.
I could think of more, but I need to go to bed. More bloggage tomorrow.

And this coming Memorial Day Weekend has been scheduled as three days to tie-dye up a stack of clothes (and even bed linens this time!) at the Jones household.
