Dragons I Have Known: Zang
.
Zang was a power hungry Purple Dragon with a knack for politics, both dragon politics and human politics. He loved the intrigues, the lying, the backstabbing and the wheeling & dealing for power. He was very talented at all of those things, so his political career was advancing quickly.
Like most politically powerful figures, he made some enemies, but he kept an eye on them. If they got any ideas about messing with him, he crushed them. He did the same to any rivals. He had his eye on the prize, which was the title of Dragon Emperor.
Sadly for Zang, he failed to remember that the current Emperor had gotten where he was by doing exactly what Zang was doing. So, one night at a large party in the Imperial Lair, Zand was given a magical drink that shrunk him to a mere 6 feet long, at which point, the Emperor stepped on him and mashed him flat.

Dragons I Have Known: Effidazonivolix
.
Effi is a typical Black Dragon on the Changed Earth, which you can read about by searching “After The Change Came” on this blog.
Effidazonivolix is the Official City Dragon of San Diego. She lives in a tower at the center of the city and does a lot to promote city events, sports teams, tourism, etc. The citizens really love her and she often shrinks down to human size to hang out with them.
Effie is married to Karkontolizax, who works for the city as “Eyes In The Sky” for the police department. They have 3 children.
