Tiny Folk Of San Francisco: Hana Ravenrider

If you want to find Hana Ravenrider, you’ll need to look up. It is there, high above the city, that she and her raven friend Koraka can be found. They spend much of each day flying about, finding food or shiny objects. They also visit with other Tiny Folk and sometimes help out in emergencies.

Neither Hana, nor Koraka, is a native to San Francisco or California. They were both born in Olympic National Park, up in Washington state. The park is home to the Ravenrider Clan of Tiny Folk. They seldom venture far outside it’s boundaries.

But Hana & Koraka were different. Both of them longed to explore the wider world, so when Hana was 14 and Koraka was 3, they headed south. A few months later, they landed in San Francisco and decided to make it their home base. The set up a little home in Buena Vista Park and were soon know by Tiny folk all over the Bay Area.

Although they live much of the year in San Francisco, Hana & Koraka travel often. They have been as for south as Baja California, as far east as Salt Lake City, and to many other locations in between. They are considering stowing away on a cruise ship to Hawaii someday, but have not figured out exactly how to do it.

Hana is 5.75 inches tall. Her skin and hair are jet black, while her eyes are deep blue. She typically dresses in black and carries a bow and arrows. While she is not in a romantic relationship, Hana does very much like her friend Lanko Helper.

In her spare time, Hana enjoys exploring the tops of tall buildings and going to the movies. Koraka enjoys finding shiny objects and eating insects and mice.
