Doc, Grace & Yoyo Cross are pleased and proud to announce the adoption of Duke Alan Cross. Duke is a 1 year old male basset hound who comes from a benignly neglectful background. He’s in very good health (vet appointment in 2 weeks) as far as we can see, is pretty well mannered and is a total lovebug.
Okay, here’s the quick scoop on Duke, our 10th dog, and 9th basset.
He is 9.5 months old and a purebred basset.
Adopted him from a nice couple in Chico, who got him from the neglectful family.
He had been born to a breeder, but was passed from one family member to another and not getting the attention he deserved.
He weighs about 50 pounds.
He very much wants to play with his new older brother, but right now Yoyo is being a jealous dick.
He is intact, so we need to make a vet appointment to separate him from his testicles.
Youngest dog we’ve ever adopted.
First time we’ve had two males dogs.
We are 100% sure that Sasha would have liked him.
Note from June 26, 2024: Duke is about one month out from his third birthday and is still a wonderful, if sometimes stubborn, boy. We love him very much.
