It Came From The …: Refrigerator
Basic Information: Released in 1958 by Toko Films. Running time: 94 minutes Overall rating by Critics Anonymous: C+
Synopsis: When his assistant, angry at being mistreated, pours a bit of Professor Hamada’s secret formula onto some leftover food in the refrigerator, it begins to mutate and grow. Soon, all of Osaka is threatened by a huge crawling mass of spoiled food. The stench of is causes people to become ill and weak. Can Professor Hamada and his team of scientists save Japan, or is the entire world in deadly danger?
Review: Not the most thrilling or well acted Japanese sci-fi horror movie, but far from the worst. The acting is pretty average, but the creature effects are okay and the pace is fast.
