Dree calmed down a bit, glad to have finally gotten his problem out into the open.
“They’re the Roadie lady and the Offy man who checked in yesterday morning. They’re really nice and the Offy man, Bevan, really hates the Museum. I didn’t give details, I just sort of talked about going on an adventure. Bevan warned me about how dangerous it could be, but he said that if it was a noble mission against the Museum, he’d join me. The Roadie lady, Ala, is kind of confused about something. I think she wants to stop being a Trucker and travel. Anyway, that was all I said and I don’t think either of them like the Museum. Did I mess up by talking to them, Greaty?”
She shook her head slowly. “No, honey, I don’t think you did. I’ve seen Offroaders leave family & friends and go on long hard journeys just to keep the Museum from finding an old piece of junk. The Roadbound lady is probably struggling exactly as you think. It’s fairly common among young Roadies, though most decide not to leave the Roadie life.”
