CritterCon 17, Trip Day Three, Part 2

Our third, and final stop, was in Lubbock, where Cakes had chosen the attraction to visit, which was…

UNCLE FERDIE’S TRAVELING TRAINED SQUIRREL REVIEW!!!

Yes, folks, the legendary show that the Cross family has visited many times, now has a traveling show as well as the permanent one back in California. In the family, it is legendary, not so much for the actual show, which everyone loves, but for a couple of times when things went WAY south thanks to the likes of Sasha, Daisy, and Flash. If you want to read about the very first catastrophic visit, go on Dad’s blog and read the July, 22, 2010, entry for DogCon 3.

Ensconced in our human bodies and mellowed out by cannabis edibles, we paid out $15.00 each and saw the review. The title was “Summer Fun” and the whole show was great. The squirrels were very well trained and did bits that involved surfing, having a cookout, dancing, and many other summer pastimes. I will admit that the call of my ancestors to chase squirrels was strong, but I beat it down, as did others in our group, although a few, including Yoyo, were looking a bit twitchy by the time things were done.

The rest of our evening was mostly chatting, gaming and just hanging out. I’m finally going to bed at a decent hour.

Tomorrow, we reach Critter City and, aside from popping home to celebrate Yoyo’s birthday, getting things in order for the con.

See you all tomorrow!
