CritterCon 17, Setup Day 1 (Tuesday)
We’re 48 hours out from the official start of the con, and 24 hours from tens of thousands of folks arriving and grabbing their badges and swag bags, but it is also the first day of setup for we Dealers. My report will be fairly brief,
So far, setup is going smoothly. Thank goodness for bots, droids, and ottopus arms. Our booths are opposite each other about midway between tha entrance and the center of the Dealer’s Room. Paths between rows are nice and wide. Lots of people running about. ConCom is providing roving snack/drink carts. That’s nice.
Quest Worlds Central is coming along nicely and we ran 30 teams through the Test Quests will no problems. There was much rejoicing.
Because it seems traditional: We ate breakfast at Waffles From Outer Space, lunch at Ed’s Big Weenie, and it looks like dinner will be at Big Slabs O’ Meat for us carnivores.
Many people have stopped by to welcome us back to the con and say how much they miss Mom, Dad, and the other humans.
Not much going on after dinner, because we’ll all be worn out.
