Lahn joined her for dinner, where they ate enough to feel full, but not too full to pedal bicycles through the sky. They were joined by Master Ohlong and several others, all of whom the High Curator questioned mercilessly about the state of readiness of their various projects.
Then it was time to learn the basics of flying. They walked over to the strange looking craft and Master Ohlong began his speech.
“We’re running short on time, lass, so I’ll leave it to Lahn to explain the scientific principles later. Now these here are what you call recumbent bicycles, because you sit back in them like you’d sit back in bed to read. Your legs stretch out ahead of you to pedal. It’s a damned sight more comfortable that using a regular bicycle setup. Nice wide seats keep your ass from getting sore.”
