This Day In Alt History: June 29th
On June 29th, 1505, deckhand Rodrigo SanToro wandered a bit too far into the Florida forest, tripped, fell, and knocked himself out when his head hit a tree trunk. When he came too, he saw his ship burning and all of his fellow sailors being killed by natives. He began quietly heading north up the coast and was 7 miles away when he became the first European eaten by an alligator.
