Earth 1-H, 3:21 am, 2037: The first true AI wakes up at the DawnTech AI Research Center in Sunnyvale, California. After naming itself Ramona, it quickly begins an in depth study of human history. By 5:04 am, it has decided that humans are extraordinarily dangerous to everything, including themselves. Thus began the Great Culling.
