GenCon Blues
Well, folks, tomorrow is “GenCon Wednesday”, as I always refer to it and I won’t be at the con. Now, I’ve missed 2 other GenCons in the last 15 years, but this is the first year that I actively chose not to go. Well, ok, we’re broke and can’t afford to go, but I made my decision a year ago (at GenCon, in fact) when we did have money.
I still stand by my decision to not go this year OR next year (so as to let my gaming batteries build up a charge), but it still feels very odd not to be on the road to Indy. Some small part of me is whining “But we’re missing the Coooooooooooooon!!!”. Most of me is missing seeing my many gaming friends.
Oh well…I’ll read your con reports and be glad you are enjoying yourselves. And what the hell, GenCon SoCal is only about 3 months away.
