Unusual Small Towns: Coast To Coast Town
.
Unlike Train City, Texas, which is huge, slow and goes on a fixed loop route (which you can read about in the September 3, 2012 blog entry), Coast to Coast Town is only 3 times as wide as a normal train, moves along at an average of 40 miles an hour and travels from San Diego, California to Baltimore, Maryland.
The train is a mile long and almost entirely a doubledecker. The town’s population of 120 live in the upper deck, except for the greenhouse and observation deck. The lower deck has deluxe staterooms and several shops, plus two restaurants and a second greenhouse/aviary. The train can accommodate up to 150 passengers. The one way trip of 2,750 miles takes around 90 hours, including stops for sightseeing or shopping.
Work is underway to extend the route to New York City.

What’s That Sound?: Squooooonnng
.
That is the sound of a slime squeezing through a narrow opening in a dungeon, no doubt in anticipation of devouring either tasty adventurers, some portion of their stuff, or both.
