A Tour Of The Magic Bus: The Living Room
The living room is the room where we all hang out and it’s big. When you walk in the doorway from the cab of the bus, one of the first things you notice is that about 70 feet away is an elevator that looks exactly like the one in the famous Bradbury Building in Los Angeles. You’ve seen it in dozens of television shows and movies. On either side of it are two gleaming golden firehouse poles that you can slide down…or up…to get to and from the bedrooms on the second, and sometimes third, floor. The bedrooms are on a mezzanine that goes all the way around the living room, about 30 feet up. There are between 16 and 28 bedrooms on that floor, all with private bathrooms.
Behind the elevator area are the doors to the bathrooms off the living room proper. There are two doors, but if 10 people walk through one door, they each go to a private bathroom. This is great when we have parties.
Sometimes a door will appear that leads to our various cargo bays, at least one of which can hold two Galaxy Class starships side by side. Another holds a bunch of classic cars & motorcycles.
As you face the elevators, the wall on your left is only about 3 feet away and has a 30 foot wide, 10 foot tall window in it, so we can see outside. Most of the time, we keep the window dark, so we don’t get too much bright sunlight coming in.
Just past the window is the Left Hallway that leads to the Shoe Room, the Meadow Room, the Slide Room, the Holodeck, the Warehouse Room, and Library (note: She does not like to be called THE Library). Directly opposite that hallway is the Right Hallway, which leads to the Game Room, the Theater, the Computer Room, the Gym, the Zoo, and the Greenhouse.
The right hand wall is where you’ll find the bar and doors to the Chocolate Closet, the Candy Closet, the Ice Cream Locker, and the Liquor Room. Sometimes a door appears that leads down to where Joe, our quantum mechanic lives and works. You don’t want to go down there.
The wall opposite the elevators has the door to the Formal Dining Room, the Informal Dining Room, the Diner and, eventually, the kitchen, pantry, staff quarters and various other places.
Finally, the living room itself has three levels with a total of 21 very comfy sofas. The very lowest level also has a holographic fire pit. If we choose, or if Sweetie thinks we need to see something, holo-TV screens can appear for all to see.

A Tour Of The Magic Bus: The Greenhouse
Our Greenhouse is at the end of the Right Hallway. It measures 1,000 feet long by 300 feet wide by 100 feet tall. It is lit by two yellow G type stars like our sun, but farther away and therefore smaller looking. The landscape outside the Greenhouse looks very much like the Sacramento Valley did 2,000 years ago.
Our hard working droids and bots grow all kinds of vegetables, fruits, berries, spices and herbs, including avocados, coconuts, tea (3 types) and vanilla orchids. This insures a steady supply of fresh ingredients for out kitchen staff to use.
Our greenhouse is also home to a few canaries, because Sweetie likes to hear them sing.
