“Is it really an preserved Ancient Town? Does the Road really bend around it? My people go many miles north or south to avoid it.” She had always heard that Sturgis was a cursed place, or maybe a warning of what humankind had done to deserve Downfall, or even a place of terrible danger. It really depended upon who told the story. Her mother had always gone with the cursed story.
