Ala went on, “Of course, if you want to see a really big City, you need to keep heading east to Indee. They say it’s the biggest city around, although my Aunt Sidrina says Tronto is bigger. Indee has fourteen Circle Roads, seven main Roads connecting there, it’s about thirty miles across, has a population of a million and the central buildings are ten stories tall and connected by walkways at all the even numbered stories. Two rivers run through it, so you see Boaters all the time. They say Indee never sleeps, that something is going on all of the time.”
Bevan added another place to his list of places to visit. He’d probably go through Indee on his way east to see the Lady On The Water. He mentioned this to Ala.
“The Lady On The Water? I’ve never seen her, but many people have. They say she’s been there since Ancient days, holding up that torch. Nobody knows why she didn’t get taken during Downfall. I guess she is special, like the Mountain of Great Faces and the Ancient Town of Sturgis and the Golden Bridge way out west. Maybe the Star People just liked her.”
