Ala once again thought of how Dree reminded her of her own brother, always full of plans for great adventures. The big difference was that Dree sounded as though the adventure had chosen him. Maybe that was the way it worked for some people, maybe adventure chose them.
“Well, if the way was pretty near Towns & Cities, a Townie fella could probably do it ok, I think, “ Dree said, “Especially if…you know…he wasn’t alone. Anyway, I’ve gotta go see my Greaty now. Bevan, I left your packages in your room, with the change. Enjoy your lunch and I’ll see both of you later. Goodbye, Miss Ala!” With that, he trotted off, wondering if they thought he was just a dumb kid.
