After making sure that there was nobody else around, the agent removed a comslate from a deep jacket pocket. Using the stylus, the agent wrote a short note that simply said “Everything is in place”, then tapped the symbol to send it to Master Porcero. Less than a minute later, a reply appeared saying, “Excellent”.
The agent put the comslate away, then wondered if this usage was what the Star People had in mind when they had given them to the Museum all those centuries ago. Doubtful, but the Star People weren’t there to say, so the comslates would be used in whatever way Master Porcero decided.
But now it was time to get back to the work of the day, so the agent pushed aside such thoughts and began going through stacks of paperwork which the Grand High Curator would read later.
