Chapter Seventeen: The Passing Of Stories

Dree knocked on his Greaty’s bedroom door, eager to finally get her advice about the crystal.

“Come in, Dree,“ said a soft voice.

She was sitting at her desk with a small book and some papers near to hand. She had been a very petite and pretty woman when she was young. Redheaded, blue eyed, always smiling…well, at least that’s how the paintings showed her. She was 80 when Dree was born, so he had never known her as anything but the old lady she was now.

He gave her a hug and asked, “How are you feeling today, Greaty Helma? Can I get you anything?”
