She smiled again and took his hand. “Don’t worry, Dree, your secret is safe with me.”
He supposed it was, although he still couldn’t figure out why she wanted to know it.
“You must go now, Dree. It is time.”
He stood up and tears were falling from his eyes. He would never see her again. He threw his arms around her and hugged her tight.
