Dree nodded and started to eat, even though he was not hungry. He kept glancing towards the door.
Bevan noticed this. “I’m thinking that somebody has found out your secret…my guess is the young woman who just left in such a hurry…and you expect that they’ll come in here any moment. You may be right. We’ll eat fast, then stroll out the back door one at a time. Ala will not be coming with us. She had a change of heart.”
