The Alphabet Bestiary: G Is For…Grim Lady

General Information: Grim Ladys are terrifying undead who hunger for the eyes and tongues of the living, which they rip out with their claws while the victim is still alive and paralyzed by their terrible breath.
Grim Ladys can look like any sort of humanoid woman, but most of them look human. As you get closer, you see that their clothes have faded colors and their eyes are dark, empty sockets. Any closer than 6 feet and they will exhale their horribly foul breath, which can paralyze most beings for up to 5 minutes. Once the victim is paralyzed, they begin to feed. When done, they may leave their prey to bleed to death or they may rip their throat out.
You will never see a Grim Lady during the daytime unless you are deep in a large building or a cave or dungeon. They are vulnerable to higher level clerical or magical spells. Weapons of most types are next to useless, although bullwhips seem to hurt them badly. Fire repels them, as does strong light. To insure they remain destroyed, their heads and hands must be removed, then burned in a Blessed Fire.
