The Alphabet Bestiary: K Is For…Kylinga
Name: Kylinga
Type: Medium Predator
Size: 3-4 feet long, 30-40 pounds
Habitat: Temperate forests and fields
General Information: Looking like nothing so much as a large, chubby weasel, these deadly predators are deadly hunters who do not mind including the flesh of humanoids on their menus. Their teeth are razor sharp, as are their long claws.
Kylinga are solitary hunters most of the time, although they will hunt in pairs while raising cubs. Being absolutely fearless, they will attack prey much larger than themselves if they feel they can bring it down. A quick bite and claw rip to the main neck artery usually does the trick.
Cubs are usually born in the winter and start hunting with the mother in early spring. They stay with her for up to 16 months before leaving.
