General Information: Sometimes, a person afflicted with Mummy Rot will die while traveling through a forest. If the body is not thoroughly burned or blessed by a high level cleric, it will rise as a mummy, but covered in a tight layer of dried leaves instead of bandages. While they can leave the forest if they want to, most don’t.
In all respects, Leaf Mummies behave like ordinary mummies, with a couple of exceptions. First, they can control fallen leaves, causing them to obscure vision, act as a shield, or even smother a creature. They can also summon more leaves to replace any burned off by non-magical fire.
Finally, if a Leaf Mummy scratches or bites an opponent, that creature will become afflicted with Leaf Mummy Mold. Without treatment, they will die within 48 hours, then rise as a lesser Leaf Mummy under the control of the one who infected them.
