…take that, froggie!
The Doclopedia #3,384
The Alphabet Bestiary: S Is For…Scavenging Mold
Name: Scavenging Mold
Type: Ooze
Size: 6-10 inches high, 3-8 feet across
Habitat: Warm, damp places
General Information: While not dangerous to living creatures, most find the look and musty odor of these creatures distasteful. They resemble a carpet of grey fuzz moving along forest or dungeon floors at speeds up to 6 miles per hour.
Scavenging molds are looking for dead creatures, old leather, paper, and other things to eat. When they reach their maximum size, they find an air current and release millions of mold spores. With any luck, some of the spores will find a suitable food source and a new Scavenging Mold is born.
