The Doclopedia #3,350

Alt. Conventions: DungeonCon

This exclusive Earth 3-G gaming con is held in an actual dungeon. The brainchild of a very wealthy and not completely sane RPG gamer, this dungeon has 101 rooms, lots of hallways, non-lethal/injurious traps, secret doors, and even monsters.

These “monsters” are either robots or gamers looking to get a membership for the next year’s con. Some just hang out in rooms, some wander the halls. There’s nothing quite like having to fight an owlbear in order to get to the Dealer’s Room.

DungeonCon has everything that other cons have, from lots of games to an auction to a costume contest. The dealer’s room is large and usually has at least 150 dealers. The dining area has 6 restaurants, 3 bars and live music. Hotel accommodations are on the surface and are all 5 star rated. The con also has many big name guests, including movie stars.

DungeonCon is limited to 500 members each year, and you’ll have to spend a fat $5,000.00 for a badge, hotel room, costume, foam weapons, a really great swag bag, 1 free meal, and 3 free drinks. 100 members each year are chosen from a lottery 6 months before the con.
