Connection: Tester, Intel

The Professor was the smart and creative younger brother of a girl Spider had known since 3rd grade. 5 years younger than Spider and The Kid, it was still the Professor who figured out that they were thieves, then told them as much when they were 16 and he was 11.

Impressed by the boy’s gift for noticing things and coming up with answers, they started running various scenarios by him to see what he’d come up with. It turned out, he saw both problems and solutions that they missed. Thus, a very long friendship and partnership was formed.

In 1974, after the two cousins got out of their judicially enforced military service, they once again met up with the Professor, who by now was in college and very much a fan of roleplaying games. Before long, he was running RPG sessions to put newly recruited Red Feather crewmembers through scenarios that tested their problem solving without actually needing to break and enter a real building. The Kid paid him well for these tests.

In later years, the Professor was sometimes useful in gathering intel for the crew. He was also able to connect them with a great number of geeks and nerds who had expertise in obscure subjects.

In later life, the Professor and his wife owned a chain of gaming cafes and a small game publishing company.
