Places Along The Winding Road: Lakwyn
Note: Continentwide, all halfling countries end in “wyn.”
The northernmost wyn in the Known Lands, Lakwyn is closer to the Outlands than it is to other countries. The Lake People are on their Eastern border, while the Land of Shepherds lies to their north, and the western border is the Rough Mountain section of Kalmyra. Because of this, the Lakwynese are somewhat rougher and more independent than other halflings.
Visitors to this land will still fing the famed halfling comfort, hospitality and great food, but less of the usual “tidy home and adventure avoidance” that other wyns have. These folks often go out camping or hunting in the hills, or even boating on Lake Voroo. There is even a thriving football fandom, with teams from various towns competing for the annual trophy.
Magic in Lakwyn is medium low. There are a couple of mages living there, and one potion shop.
