Places Along The Winding Road: Polidan
Situated at the southern end of Lake Trisus, Polidan is a large and powerful country in the Western Plains. With two major rivers running through it, including the mighty Onissus River that runs south from the lake, Polidan is a major hub for shipping.
But if one travels east, you find vast farmlands and ranches. Cross the Onissus to the west and you’ll be in the gentle rolling hills that are dotted with the estates of the wealthy. Southern Polidan is a narrow area along the river and is entirely given over to the Royal Riverside Wildlife Preserve.
The capitol city of Southlake is a large, diverse, and bustling place. The many areas of the city include the Artist Quarter, the Royal University, the city crossing Merchant’s Road, and the very large Dock District.
Food, as one might imagine, is heavy on fish, but it is delicious. Other foods to try are the famous vegetable breads, the slow roasted duck, and the Elven cream cakes.
Polidan is a medium low mana area, so mages should plan accordingly.
