The Alphabet: NPC Edition: Irv Regowsky
Irv is a regular patron at O’ Doul’s Star Club, a popular neighborhood bar in Madison, Wisconsin. He’s been coming in 3 or 4 nights a week for the last 25 years. Everybody knows him. He drinks Wisconsin Woods beer and eats a bag of salt & vinegar potato chips.
Irv works for the State of Wisconsin tax authority as an auditor. He’s good at his work. He’s also an expert on local history. Buy him a beer and he’ll tell you all about Madison back in the day. He’ll also tell you about his family, who have lived in the area since 1880. Many of his stories are very funny.
Irv has been married to Agnes for 35 years. They have two adult sons. Some nights, usually on a Friday, Agness comes to the bar with him. She drinks a white wine and loves to gossip.
Irv Regowsky: 55 year old man. 5′ 10” tall, 190 pounds, mostly bald, brown eyes. Married. Deep voice. Scar on the back of his right hand from “a fucking Canada goose.” Dresses in older brown suits that always look a bit rumpled. Smokes El Rey cigars.
