J-V Fortyseven, Jayvee to his friends, is an fully autonomous robot on Earth 3-H, where some robots and humans tried to take over the world in 2067. Those humans & bots were all destroyed by biological and computer viruses by 2072. Now, in 2103, the two species work hand in hand to build a better world and colonize other parts of the Solar system.
Jayvee works for the International Ecosystem Reclamation Institute,which does not only what the name says, but provides equipment and resources for the terraforming of Mars. He is in charge of Personal Equipment Issuance. He enjoys his job and is good at it.
However, Jayvee is also a veteran of the war, and is aware that some humans and a few bots still exist who want to resume hostilities. Because of that, he sometimes helps get equipment to a very high level and very secret organization that finds and eliminates the evil people. On a few occasions, he has gotten involved on a more physical level. He has no compunctions about getting down and dirty.
J-V Fortyseven: 39 year old robot. 5′ 6” tall, 158 pounds, 3 eyes, 2 arms, 2 legs. No hair. No clothes. Mostly stainless steel body. Pleasant average male voice. Devoted chess player. Has a pet rat named Ignatz.
