The Alphabet: NPC Edition: Nolan Burns
Nolan Burns is a southern Alberta, Canada, farmer and cryptid hunter. He’s 50 years old, married, has 5 kids, and can tell you all about every Canadian cryptid and most of the ones in the United States and Mexico. His cryptid library and museum is one of the largest in North America.
Nolan goes out 3 or 4 times a year to investigate various cryptids. He is especially interested in lake monsters, and actually has what scientists consider a tooth from an unknown aquatic creature. When Nolan goes out on these trips, he often brings along his two oldest sons and 3 to 6 paying cryptid fans. He makes a pretty good living at that, posssibly better than the farm.
Like many cryptid and paranormal buffs, Nolan is highly suspicious of anyone connected to the government. On the other hand, if you don’t act like you’re from the government or military, he’ll tell you all sorts of interesting stuff. He’s not big on UFOs, but he knows plenty of folks who are.
Nolan Burns: 6′, 175 pounds, greying brown hair, brown eyes, big nose, tanned skin. Married with 5 kids. Rural Albertan accent. Dresses in work pants, work shirts, and boots. Non-smoker. Enjoys beer. Critical of the government, regardless of who is in power.
