The song is about a cowboy reconsidering his life choices, sung with wry humor in Daniel’s slightly rough Oklahoma accent. The piano takes center stage, and it is a joy to hear. Your foot will tap.
The song hit #1 shortly after release, stayed there for three weeks, then stayed in the top tenn for 5 more weeks. Dusty Daniels had a great solo career for 25 more years, with 11 albums and 18 singles that charted in the top 40.
