Damn…almost a week with no posts. Time to fix that.
The garden is cooking along just fine. We have cucumbers piling up in the kitchen and the tomatos & cantalopes racing headlong towards ripeness out on the vines. Grace has been picking green beans every day and the basil plants are bushing out wonderfully.
My flowers are blooming in such a dizzying array of shapes and colors that I sometimes feel as tho I’m back in my recreational hallucinogenics days:)
Planning for the Big Trip To GenCon is, like a snowball rolling downhill, starting off small and slowly building. In another month and a half it will be a huge runaway avalanche moving at 80 miles an hour towards the Swiss ski resort that is August 14th (the day we leave). Hopefully, trained rescue dogs will not be needed.
This weekend will be a Big Gardening Weekend for me, with a trip to the flicks to see “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban” shoehorned in there somewhere.
Tomorrow, the electrician comes to do the first of many repair/upgrade projects on our house. We don’t anticipate things getting very expensive, but it will be a bit of a bother that he has to do things in bit over several visits.
