Continuing the theme of travelling from the last post, here is the tentative 2005 Vacation Itinerary for Grace and I.
February: DunDraCon I’ll be running my 15th or 16th annual TOON game.
July: Origins Grace won’t be going and I’ll just be flying in, doing the con, then flying out.
August: 7 day driving vacation on the West Coast. No firm route set, cos Grace will be planning it and surprising me.
November: GenCon SoCal We have kinda decided to go to this con on the odd numbered years. We liked the first one and will be eager to see how the con has grown.
No bigass 2-3 week driving vacations in 2005. We decided to take a year off. Also, no Hawaii trip. That one was pushed back to 2006 due to Grace going back to school for the next 3 semesters or so.
2007 will find us giving GenCon Indy another try, since by then the bad taste of the 2004 GenCon trip will have dissapated and my boredom with certain aspects of the gaming hobby/industry will hopefully have faded.
It is also possible that we might do some travelling outside North America in 2007, tho that is VERY tentative right now.
(Note from September 9, 2013: Wow, were these predictions wrong! In 2005, I went to Dundracon and that was it. In 2007, I went to Dundracon and GenCon, but Grace had pretty much given up on cons.)
