…the moose was not amused
Oh, my droogies, it will be a Foodaliscious Weekend here at stately Cross Manor. On Saturday, we’ll have another episode of Iron Chef Aslin Way. Grace will buy three mystery ingredients and I will use all my culinary skill to create dishes around them. Kinda like Iron Chef, only no challenger (our kitchen is barely big enough for me) and no screwy fish flavored ice cream.
On Sunday, I’ll be making…CHILI! I’m going to use Alton Brown’s recipe (taken from the episode “The Big Chili”) and I’ll make two versions: “Merely Hot” and my famous “Hell In Your Mouth”. Grace will most likely vacate the house during this time, as she is not a chili fan and the smells from the kitchen make her eyes water and her nose run.
In other news, I appear to be going thru one of my periodic life alterations. This latest one is almost certainly the culmination of a couple of years worth of wanting to get back into working with clay and sculpting. We shall see where this all leads. I’m also feeling the need for an adventure (NOT a friggin’ RPG game adventure, a REAL adventure), so I need to do something about that before I just yell “FUCK THIS!” and run out the door looking for trouble. I’ve pretty much enjoyed this last decade of domestication and suburbanization, but really, how long can a human go without doing something crazywildfun?
One more thing before I go off to work: Celestial Seasonings Madagascar Vanilla Red Roobios Tea is THE FUCKING BOMB, BABY!!! I’m talking so good you’ll do the Naked Happy Tea Drinker Dance. Try it and thank yer old Uncle Doc later.
