Well, Iron Chef Aslin Way (January 2006 Edition) is over and done with. Once again, the Iron Chef pleased the Iron Wife and won the people’s ovation and fame forever. And this time, the Iron Wife even shouted “Allez Cuisine!”
Our mystery ingredients were: flat iron steak…spinach fettuccine…apples
The Iron Chef whipped up a Spicy Stroganoff which he served on the fettuccine. For dessert, the apples were sauteed with spices and butter and then mixed with a creme carmel to create a treat that would have made Chairman Kaga weep with culinary joy.
It has been decided that there will be an Iron Chef Aslin Way challenge every month from now on. How creative will the Iron Wife be in her choosing of mystery ingredients? How creative will the Iron Chef be? Stay tuned.
In other news, we spent most of the day organizing stuff and preparing both the computer room and the library for major reorganization. Our house now looks like we are either getting ready to move or a warehouse full of boxes of miscellaneous stuff exploded.
