What Uncle Doc Did Today

Bought a small freezer from my mom, brought it home, plugged it in and then, after it had time to get cold, filled it with tons of frozen foods from the freezer part of the fridge.

Went grocery shopping and bought lots of stuff, including the makings for a bigass pot of spaghetti sauce. I also bought some Samuel Adams Black Lager, which I am consuming even as I type this.

Figured out the best way to make a new garden path in my mom’s garden. It will be a simple gravel path laid down on a bed of sand. Should work well and have good drainage.

Got books 3-6 of the Dresden Files novels in the mail from Amazon. Now I just need to find the time to start reading book 2. Oh, and I also got a book on raising and training Basset Hounds. Grace got a book on Hawaii and a couple of other books whose titles I can’t recall.

Killed a humongous Black Widow spider in the garage. One down, 3,421 to go.

And now, I’m off to go cook tomatoes into tomato sauce.
