Joe looks younger than he is. He is 6′ 1” tall, weighs 155 pounds and has an unruly head of curly red hair. His eyes are green. He has 9 tattoos, all of parrots. He lives with his boyfriend, Charlie, and their African Grey parrot, Baby.

Captain Jane Lewis is the commander of the starship “Venture” (NCC 2054), a Nova class exploration vessel. She commands a crew of 2,300, plus another 2,000 dependents. She has been Captain for 6 years. Currently, the ship is exploring Sector 3,006, a mostly uninhabited sector that was once part of the ancient Ovareen Empire.
Jane is 45, divorced, and has two daughters, only one of whom lives on the Venture. Jane has medium length brown hair and brown eyes, the left one being cybernetic, but looking normal. She is 5′ 9” tall and weighs 140 pounds.
On her off duty hours, Jane likes to go running or watch old movies from the 20th century.
