More Assorted Books: A Guide To The Island Of Monsters

.

Really, this is more a pamphlet than an actual book, but it is very informative about the Island of Monsters. The map is excellent and the monster descriptions, though short, tell you the basics.

The best thing about the book are the little tidbits of info you find, like “Don’t go up the easy beach route into the island. Climb the cliffs on the other side. All the monsters watch the beach.”

This book is pretty inexpensive at $2.00, but worth twice the price.

More Assorted Books: My Life In The Sky

.

Does the world really need another bloated autobiography of another ex-military skyship commander? Apparently somebody thought so, since we are presented with this 600 page beast by Commodore Hallstead Cummings, Royal Sky Navy, Ret.

If you like endless minutely detailed accounts of planning a mission, supplying a mission, going to a mission and then carrying out a mission, you’ll love this book, especially since Cummings writing is as dry as a hand full of Sahara sand

More Assorted Books: How To Build A Robot Army

.

First off, I give Dr. Angelo Crimari top marks for stating right up front that building a robot army is not cheap. Too many young Mad Scientists go broke before they even have a platoon finished. Crimari lays out all of the financial pitfalls.

But then, he tells you several possible ways around them, as well as some robot building tips for those on a budget. His idea that a silent robot army is scarier than one that can speak makes sense!

I very much recommend this book to any young Mad Scientist interested in robotics.
