Ordinary Folks: Ned Crumplo
Ned Crumplo is not a very pleasant person. This was true before he went off to war and got his left leg shot off below the knee, and it’s even more true now. Pretty much everything pisses Ned off sooner or later. As you might expect, he has few friends.
Working as a foreman on a road repair crew keeps Ned away from most folks in town. His love of fishing does the same. Ned is a good fisherman, and has won several tournaments. He sometimes works as a fishing guide for rich guys from the big city. He tends to be much more pleasant with rich guys paying him.
Ned is 45 years old, mostly bald, on the fat side, and a solid mahogany left leg below the knee. He’s married to Tillie and they have twin daughters who left home a year ago for college. They have a 7 year old Labrador retriever named Bug.
On Friday nights, Ned always takes Tillie out for dinner and a movie.
