For the final story of the 19th Century, Doctor Charles Tempest and his sons, David & Paul, along with Professor Smythe, Reggie Scott, and Atlas Morgan, succeed in taking the airship “Abigail” back over 800 years to 1050. They then find that a group of people from an underground civilization are preparing to enslave Native North Americans to create an army to conquer the surface world. Much action and daring do ensues.
This was thethird to last adventure for the Charles Tempest version of Doc. In the February, 1900 issue, he retires and David takes on the Doc Tempest title.
