Legendary Snakes: The Dragon Eater
On Fantasy Earth 455, there are many dragons. They range in size from 30 feet long to 90 feet long. They are all very smart, very powerful, and almost the apex predator on that planet. Almost. The snake known as the Dragon Eater measures 150 feet long and feeds strictly on dragons of any age, as well as dragon eggs. This gargantuan snake is venomous and can fly faster than any dragon. They are also very resistant to most dragon breaths. On top of all that, the snake is the mental equal of about 75% of all dragons. It is an understatement to say dragons fear these predators. They are terrified of them. Their only safe places to live are on islands far out to sea, and very cold places. Dragon Eaters don’t like to fly long distances over water and they are slowed down by extreme cold. Since there are maybe 100 dragons to every Dragon Eater, they could band together and destroy their hated predators if they chose to. Alas, dragons are not team players, so the Dragon Eaters will remain safe for the foreseeable future.
