The Long & Winding Road
Part 43
Sark
Up until the beginning of this 180 mile long section of The Road, it has been heading south to southwest. Here, however, it turns to the southeast, eventually heading into some large hills before following them southwest again. The surface is now short grass.
While the plains portion, the upper third, of Sark is well populated and fairly free of crime and monsters, things get much worse up in the hill country. Bandits are common, so most travel is done on the river miles away. Because the hills are heavily forested except for around the few settlements, both monsters and bandits are plentiful.
Most average citizens of Sark are pretty honest, but the Thieves Council still thrives here.
