…nothing to see here
The Long & Winding Road
Part 44
Pellis
While the roadbed is still short grass, the first third of this 225 mile section is littered on both sides with bones. Huge bones, quite possibly kaiju, are everywhere, for 4 or 5 miles on both sides of The Road. Through hills and dales dotted by twisted trees that had to grow up through these great bones, you see few settlements or large wildlife after about the first five miles from the Sark border.
Where these huge bones come from is unknown, although the local people have been here for hundreds of years. Sages have said that the bones are less than 1,500 years old.
The fields of bones stop at the river. Beyond that point, The Road runs east by northeast before turning south near Lake Aldorel. Pellis is pretty much a farming country, so food is fresh and good. Accommodations are also good and fairly priced.
