The story of a mummy rising from his tomb and killing people has a much different ending than in our world, and it’s shorter. On Earth 26-Y, Imhotep did indeed rise up, kill a British explorer and his Egyptian assistant. Then he left the tomb and headed to the campsite of the many British archaeologists, intent on killing the lot of them.
But as he entered the camp, a panicking Brit threw a kerosene lantern at him and he went up like the pile of dried bandages and skin that he was. 5 minutes later, he was just a pile of ashes.
The Brits celebrated with a round of drinks.
